I honestly think that this movie was a little unrealistic because If someone spent their whole life taking care of a child and learnt later on that the child isn’t theirs. They would be devastated and I didn’t see that in the film. I felt they did a cover up so that her mom wouldn’t look like a whore to society because over and over they kept repeating that Michael wasn’t treating her right, so she went out there. At the end they went on saying they were glad she found love because their dad wasn’t loving her, as an excuse..I think it’s all a cover up to respect the dead and to cover their family dirt..
if you found out today that your parents arent really YOUR parents would you still love them? At least most people would. I think he loved her, even after he found out she wasnt his daughter nothing really changes, he still loves her .
I believe he already had an idea that Sarah wasn’t his daughter. He gave his wife permission to sleep with other men. He most likely had had an idea that she wasn’t really his daughter and had years to process it. He could of noticed that she didn’t really resemble him, or the timing of his wife’s pregnancy was off, or clues from other thing in his life we don’t know about. His reaction to finding out was more likely what his daughter thought of the whole situation.
